句中的that 是是后指使用方法吧！即这个 that 是指其后直接引语的内容。为何这里用that 来指后面的内容？不是说表“前指”时用 this 和that 都可以，但表“后指”时只可以用 this 不可以用that 吗？
所谓前指、后指即代词的前照应指代和后照应指代，是针对代词而言的。你的句子中that显然不是指示代词，由于指示代词that指代整个句子意思时只能是后指，不可以是前置。所以这个that只能剖析为从属连词。从属连词that没词义，不做成分，仅仅起引导从句有哪些用途，与所谓前指或后指是没关系的。作者的这个句子中that引导表语从句。不过有一个问题，句子的表语是用引号的直接引语，直接引语一般是不需要连词that引导的。我觉得这个that的用法是有问题的，应该把that改为this，让this作表语，this是指示代词，用来指代后面的句子的内容，冒号提示后面是同位语对this作补充说明。句子改为：
